About the Designer
Anna Tiburzi holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
Anna is a Landscape Designer at Terrain-NYC in New York City, NY. Prior to working at Terrain, Anna worked with the National Park Service’s Olmsted Center for Landscape Preservation and SUNY ESF’s Center for Cultural Landscape Preservation as a research assistant and associate in developing digital representations and completing archival research on national historic landscapes in the American Northeast.
From Geography to Design
Anna earned her Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the State University of New York College at Geneseo, where she graduated with honors, including summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
Her background in geography sets the foundation for her interest in further understanding of the spatial, ecological, and cultural relationships at play between communities and the landscapes they share.
Personal Mission
As a designer, Anna strives to create sustainable, vibrant, and inclusive landscapes, approaching every site as a unique opportunity for interpretation, expression, and innovation in design.
As a storyteller, Anna is driven to reveal the diversity of stories embedded in our landscapes, better connecting spaces to their communities and opening opportunities for interpretation, engagement, and representation.
